I have spent my career in worldwide airline operations in various airlines. I have my Airline Transport Pilot Certification in the United States and Japan, with type ratings in A320, B737, B747, B747-400, B757, B767, CL65, and E170 aircraft, all at ICAO Aviation English Level 6. My entire aviation career spans 25 years and I have operated in North America, Asia, Europe, Australia, Africa, the Pacific Ocean, and the Atlantic Ocean, and I have more than 8,000 hours PIC time in airline operations.
During my career I have served in various capacities as captain, first officer, flight instructor, check airman, and ground instructor. I developed the entire courseware for the system ground school for the BAe-3201 aircraft, authored the CL65 Flight Management System Study Guide, and served as editor of the English translation of a Japanese startup-airline's Embraer 170 Flight Operations Manual. Presently, I work for a large international airline based in Guam, USA.

I live outside of Osaka, Japan with my family, where my wife and I are co-owners of a 107-year-old family business. My Hobbies include astrophotography, wristwatch collecting, and front-end web development with HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Check out our family business at lumberishii.com. Incidentally, all of the photographs presented throughout this site are credited to myself, excluding the photos taken from a cockpit during flight. All of those images were downloaded from random sources on the internet.
